Neslyn Watson-Druée, CBE

Dr Neslyn Watson-Druée, Managing Director of Beacon Organisational Development and former Chairman of NHS Kingston was honoured CBE (Commander of the British Empire) in yesterday’s New Year’s Honours List by Her Majesty The Queen of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth for Services to Health Service Development. Dr Watson-Druée is no stranger to high profile. She has a string of awards:

Beacon Organisational Development specialises in transforming people and organisations to release their intelligence, creativity and vision through leadership development, executive coaching, performance management and team development. In addition to her business consultancy, from October 2000 – March 2011 Dr Druée served as Chairman of NHS Kingston (a London Borough) responsible for £260 Million budget. In 2007 to 2009 she steered a financial turnaround of £21.5M within the two year period. In 1993 Neslyn developed a demonstration leadership development programme for the NHS Executive, that programme has formed the foundations to many of the current leadership programmes. From 1989 -1996 Neslyn worked through the London Enterprise Agency to deliver career and personal development to programmes to 21 Blue Chip Companies in London.
Dr Watson-Druée has many strengths, she is:
- A qualified nurse, midwife, health visitor, higher education teacher, business psychologist and international platform speaker including the European Parliament.
- Currently one of 180 women across the UK appointed as a national ambassador for the public sector, following a scheme lead by the former Deputy Minister for Women and Equalities, Maria Eagle. In this position Neslyn has a focus on increasing diversity in public appointments and she plays a vital role helping people from all backgrounds to apply for positions on public boards.

- A trainer of business coaches in Emotional Intelligence and Emotional Capital.
- Member of International Women Forum– UK Member – Nomination Committee Member.
- She established the Mary Seacole Leadership Awards through the Royal College of Nursing. She developed a mentoring programme for BBC Network radio.
