National ICT and Computing Festival 2012

Hertfordshire County Council is getting ready to host a national exhibition about ICT resources in schools later this month.

The National ICT and Computing Festival 2012 takes place from midday to 6pm on 22 February and will showcase the latest software and devices to aid teaching and learning across the country’s classrooms. The event is taking place at the Hertfordshire Development Centre at Robertson House in Stevenage and is funded by exhibitors and ticket sales.

The exhibitors will give visitors the opportunity to see the latest ICT innovations and resources with applications across the whole curriculum.

There will also be the opportunity to speak to experts about any ICT questions you may have, plus ‘Litebite’ sessions offering the latest information on a range of topics.

Frances Button, Cabinet Member for Education and Skills, said:

“This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers and education professionals in Hertfordshire to find out about the latest teaching aids from experts.

“Teaching our young people to use computers and harnessing their potential of computers as a tool in the classroom is essential and I am pleased that Hertfordshire is hosting this national event.”
